Seviourity is always measured based on the impact of a perticular bug on the fuctionality of the application
ex.. If any bug is effecting the functionality of the application very badly it said to be critical bug
Priority is always measured in terms of customer point of view
ex.. If you are developing an application for MICRO SOFT and in that perticular application assume that it is displayed as MACRO SOT, though this kind of deffect is not effecting the fuctionality of the application but still customer/client will consider this as a high priority bug because the name of the client is missppelled
